Hi! My name is Sandra Hunter, and I’m the Managing Director of Astra Accounting Services Ltd. I have over 25 years experience in small businesses, mainly the following industries:
- Building
- Property Investment
- Charities
- Marine farming
- Forestry
- Commercial property
- Residential subdivisions and
- Foreign shares.
I have also had extensive banking experience with both BNZ and Westpac. In my mid 30s I decided to go back to study and completed my Bachelor of Commerce Degree (majoring in accounting) at NMIT in 2008, winning the Fletcher Challenge Award for Academic Excellence in that year.
In 2011 I decided to put my experience and qualifications to use by starting up my own book keeping and general accounting business working from my home. I decided to use only online products like Xero to make my business flexible and accessible from any location.
My goal is to provide a service for my clients that suits their needs. I can provide as much, or as little, services as clients require.
I offer general expense coding (using Xero), Invoicing, Accounts payable, GST returns, PAYE returns, Payroll, Monthly Profit and Loss reporting, assist with preparing budgets and cashflows, inventory management, and much more.
